Personal (including Operational) experience of Command and Control in the military, civilian and nuclear sectors.
Command experience up to the rank of Squadron Leader in the RAF, culminating in the role of Second-in-Command of 18 Sqn (approx 14 Chinook helicopters and 360 personnel, comprised of the UK Chinook military flying training school and 2 ‘Operational Flights’ (each consisting of up to around 120 front-line and support personnel) deployed across up to 5 global operational locations). Broad, first-hand, Command and Control experience of many training and operational deployments and detachments across UK, Europe, USA, the South Atlantic and the Middle East with particular operational experience in Northern Ireland, the Falkland Islands, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Gulf War I and II. C2 experience across land, sea and air at the tactical and operational levels with many UK and coalition military forces as well as with UK civilian organisations.

1993-2003 Qualified Pilot Instrument Rating Examiner (instructing and assessing the instrument flying skills of Chinook helicopter pilots) 1995-2003 Qualified Helicopter Tactical Flying Instructor Pilot (training basic qualified pilots to operate tactically in a threat environment)(incorporated with Air and Ground BIT courses, Recce instructor training, NBC officer etc) 1998-2003 Chinook Helicopter Training Captain (training all levels of Chinook aircrew in basic and advanced flying techniques in full-motion simulators and on live aircraft) 1998-2003 RAF Crew Resource Management (CRM) Instructor (training groups of military aircrew in the non-technical skills required to maximize operational performance) 2000-now MBTI instructor (running individual and group psychometric assessment and development sessions using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) with people from many industries and all continents) 2003-now CAA CRMI (UK Civil Aviation Authority CRM Instructor licensed to run training sessions and discussion groups globally in aviation non-technical skills) 2004-now Business Coach (instructing teams and organisations from many industries on improvement of business performance, business processes, staff retention and profit margins) 2005-now People development consultant (running training courses globally in CRM, workplace coaching & mentoring, performance development, NLP, CBT, Train-the-Trainer, leadership etc)
